The 30 yard container in Parker
The 30 yard takes up the same 22 by 7.5 feet of ground as the 20 — the extra volume is all height. That makes it the natural pick when a job makes a lot of bulky debris but the site has no more room: a multi-room or full-house renovation, an estate or rental property cleanout, a retail or office remodel, a community or HOA cleanup. It still fits most two-car driveways and job sites. It holds about nine pickup loads, or 170 to 190 trash bags.
The sides are six feet high, so most of what goes in is carried or thrown rather than tipped from a wheelbarrow. Contractors with a crew do not mind; a homeowner working alone may prefer a 20 and a swap.
Big renovations, cleanouts and commercial remodels
Taking a house back to the studs fills a 30 in a hurry: every cabinet, every door, the drywall from every room. Estate and move-out cleanouts land here too — furniture, mattresses and loose bags — and so do retail and office remodels with racking, displays and partitions, and light demolition tear-outs.
Knocking a building down takes paperwork before it takes a dumpster. In Parker, demolition needs a Town building permit, applied for on eTRAKiT through the Building Division (303.841.1970). Colorado adds its own step for every demolition, houses included: the building has to be inspected for asbestos by a Colorado-certified inspector, and a Demolition Notification has to go to CDPHE at least 10 working days before work starts — even if no asbestos is found — with a fee of $50 plus $5 per 1,000 square feet. In unincorporated Douglas County, including Highlands Ranch, Franktown, Sedalia and Roxborough Park, the County Demolition Permit is $47 per structure. We will ask whether you have the permits.
Weight, swaps and long jobs
Four to five tons — about 8,000 to 10,000 pounds — is included. Jobs that run for weeks usually go on a swap schedule — we pull the full one and drop an empty, so the site never waits. Tell us how long the job runs and we will set the rhythm. Keep the load below the top rail and spread it evenly so it travels safely; staging concrete and other dense debris separately keeps the weight in check.
Suitability
Is the 30 yard the right size for you?
Rough working figures. Weight, not volume, is what usually decides.
Choose the 30 yard for
- Multi-room and full-house renovations
- Estate and rental property cleanouts
- Retail and office remodels
- Demolition debris, drywall and lumber
- Community and HOA cleanups
Pick a different size for
- Heavy-only loads — concrete, brick and dirt belong in a 10 loaded level
- Small cleanouts (you will pay for unused space)
- Sites without room for a 22-foot container and the truck
- Asbestos, paint, oil, fuel or medical waste
Placing a 30 yard container on a Parker-area property
It needs a flat, stable spot about 22 feet long and 7.5 feet wide, about 60 feet of clear approach for the truck, and about 25 feet of clearance overhead — no low power lines or branches. On your own driveway or lot in Parker we found no Town permit for a roll-off; in the Town right-of-way, a dumpster that stays more than 24 hours needs a Street Occupancy Permit through eTRAKiT — call Engineering and Public Works at 303.840.9546 first. Other towns have their own rules — Castle Pines charges $370 for a 90-day street permit, Aurora does not allow dumpsters on the public street, and Centennial limits a driveway dumpster to 7 days without a building permit. Check your HOA too: covenants can cover containers in driveways. Boards go under the dumpster on request. Each town page covers its own code.

30 Yard Dumpster — questions we get asked
Is a 30 yard too big for a house?
For a normal cleanout, often yes — a whole-home cleanout is usually a 20. For a renovation that strips several rooms to the studs, or a whole estate, no — that volume arrives faster than people expect. We will tell you honestly which it is.
Can I do swaps on a 30 yard?
Yes. We pull the full container and drop an empty. Contractors with multi-week jobs usually set up the swap schedule at the start.
How much does a 30 yard dumpster weigh when full?
It depends entirely on what is in it. Four to five tons of disposal is included; a 30 full of plaster, shingles and tile can go past that, so we estimate heavy loads with you up front.
Do I need a permit for a 30 yard?
On your own driveway or lot in Parker, we found no Town permit for a roll-off. In the street it is different: Parker requires a Street Occupancy Permit for a dumpster in the Town right-of-way for more than 24 hours, applied for on eTRAKiT, and the Town's construction manual says dumpsters are not to go in the right-of-way without the Town's specific approval. The fee is not published, so Engineering and Public Works (303.840.9546) is the call to make. Tell us when you book and we will tell you where your spot stands.

30 yard dumpsters delivered across Douglas County and the south metro
We run roll-off containers out of the Dransfeldt Road yard to every town below. Parker and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more often next-day. A few towns license the haulers that work inside their limits, and several keep containers off the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
